Taking a stroll down memory lane to an impactful event in Calabar, Cross River, where CSAAE joined forces with Palladium USAID and SCALE to tackle Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and Child, Early, and Forced Marriage (CEFM).
Ably represented in the event by it’s Administrative Assistant Maryann Ndugbu, with a diverse mix of advocates, activists, and stakeholders, the event was a hub of shared learning and collaboration.
Together, we delved into innovative approaches and evidence-based practices, aiming to shape policies and drive sustainable change in our communities.
Girls Power Initiative (GPI), one of our stellar SGBV partners, stole the spotlight with their progressive report.
They spearheaded transformative projects in Cross River and Akwa Ibom, empowering local civil society organizations and communities to protect and advocate for the rights of girls.
Government officials lent their support, including luminaries like Mrs. Ruth from the Ministry of Justice, Mrs. Agbiji from the Ministry of Women Affairs (both from Akwa Ibom), and Mr. Mose from the Ministry of Justice in Cross River, alongside dedicated police personnel.
Together, we’re building a future where every girl is safe, empowered, and free from violence.
